The meeting of Stamen Yanev, Executive director of InvestBulgaria Agency and His Excellency Zakia El Midaoui, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco in the Republic of Bulgaria took place on 11 April 2017 at 15:00 in the conference room of InvestBulgaria Agency.

Mr. Yanev shared that our country offers many investment and cooperation opportunities. The most popular investment sectors in Bulgaria in the recent years are the car and the IT industry.

The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco explained that during his stay in our country (since November 2016) he attended a series of meetings with government institutions – the Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Tourism, Ministry of Culture and with the president of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mr. Tsvetan Simeonov. Mrs. El Midaoui said some words about the economic development of Morocco which is one of the main investors in Africa and which has many natural resources – oil and gas, on lower prices. She also pointed out the strategic location and the proximity of the country to Europe.

Stamen Yanev offered working towards a closer cooperation and attraction of investments through the signing of a Memorandum for cooperation between InvestBulgaria Agency and a suitable partner from Moroccan side. The Executive director of InvestBulgaria Agency pointed out that the agency is a member of WAIPA and is in the Management board. The plans for the future include the organization of business meetings between the two countries, development of the tourism, trade and investments between the countries.
