February 7, 2014

Bulgaria is to turn into a hub for industrial gases used for exports to Turkey and Russia. This statement came from Economy and Energy Minister Dragomir Stoynev, during awarding a Class A investment certificate to the Italian-based company SOL Bulgaria EAD for its project for an industrial gases production plant in Devnya.

The investment totals some 13 million euro. The plant is to produce oxygen, ozone and argon. The ambassador of Italy, Marco Conticelli, indicated that his country was one of the biggest commercial partners and investors in Bulgaria. The annual trade exchange between Italy and Bulgaria amounts to nearly 4 billion euro as some 1,000 Italian companies operate in Bulgaria, providing jobs to some 25,000 Bulgarians, Conticelli concludes.
