February 18, 2013

Sofia based hospital Doverie has purchased a 3D system for surgeries for the amount of 3.5 million BGN. Doverie, opened in 2005 has developed a steady tradition in operating with the most modern medical equipment ever since.

The hospital actually has invested in a „three hands robot” which can replace a whole team of surgeons making the most complicated surgeries with great precision.

Da Vinci equipment can guarantee the decrease of the blood loss comparing to the standard types of surgeries and therefore the period of healing and rehabilitation would become shorter.

This is only the second robot of its type in the country, the other one being used in Pleven University Hospital.
