  The zone is situated about 160km away from the capital Sofia and 7km from the town of Pleven – one of the most important transport locations in North Bulgaria, offering both road and railway transport.
  
  Dolna Mitropoliya Municipality is located close to the Romanian border and is in proximity to big consumer centers like Veliko Tarnovo, Gorna Oriyahovitsa and Pleven. The Municipality’s central location  is important for the future economic development of the region.
  
  The zone has a well-developed sewage system and also a water purifying  station, which has the capacity to meet the needs of an industrial zone, employing more than 10 000 people.
