Over 50 Bulgarian and Belarusian companies participated in the forum, which is held during the sixth session of the Intergovernmental Bulgarian-Belarusian commission for trade-economic and scientific-technical cooperation, in which Deputy Minister Vezieva is co-chair.

From the Bulgarian side the forum was attended by Stamen Yanev, Executive Director of the InvestBulgaria Agency, Nikola Stoyanov, deputy executive director of BSMEPA. They expressed the readiness of the agencies to commit to the implementation of more specific initiatives and events with the participation of business representatives from both countries.

"I expect this forum to give additional impetus for the intensification of our bilateral relations in the economic sphere", said Vezieva and added that forums like this play an important role in improving the economic performance in the Bulgarian-Belarusian relations. They also provide an opportunity for Bulgarian companies to establish useful business contacts.

The bilateral business forum was attended by the Governor of Burgas Mr. Valcho Cholakov and the chairman of the parliamentary economic committee Mr. Petar Kanev.
