The Executive Director of the Bulgarian Investment Agency, Stamen Yanev, presented the investment conditions in Bulgaria and how they help the potential investors. He stated that for the period 2017-2018, the Agency certified 12 projects worth BGN 405.3 million, which will reveal 1090 new jobs. Projects are in various sectors, including manufacturing, processing industry and others. To date, 16 municipalities have adopted an Ordinance for the promotion of investments with municipal importance and the issuance of a class B certificate.

"Currently we are negotiating with the mayor of Vratza, Kalin Kamenov, along with an investor for opening 500 new job positions in Vratsa," Stamen Yanev announced in front of participants and the guests of the forum. Kalin Kamenov, mayor of Vratsa, took part in the first panel of the discussion. In his presentation on How to Create an Attractive Investment Destination, he underlined the main challenges for future investors in Vratsa and the region. "It is important to know the needs of the business and to jointly help them" Kamenov said. The topic was continued with presentation of the National Company "Industrial Zones" as a partner of the investors in Bulgaria. A video message to the participants in the economic forum was commissioned by EU Commissioner for Digital Economy, Maria Gabriel. The forum, which was held in two consecutive days, was also attended by the district governor of Vratsa district Malina Nikolova, the deputy regional governor Lachezar Popivanov, the mayor of Mezdra Municipality Genadi Sabkov, along with representatives of local and state institutions, business and students.
