The executive director of InvestBulgaria Agency, Stamen Yanev, has signed an agreement to join the World Free Zones Organization. The WFZO has been founded in Dubai, UAE in May, 2014 under the auspices of His Majesty Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, vice president and Prime Minister of the UAE. With residence in Geneva, WFZO is the only multinational organization for free zones in the world at the moment, helping all the new free zones in all aspects, referring to the organization, activity, coordination and supporting the members throughout the world. The concept of free zones in its many forms, has gained popularity throughout the last decades especially in the newly formed economies in Asia, Middle East and Africa. Free zones played an important role in the economies of many countries and in order to deliver a powerful impact, a multinational association is needed. Such association will be able to represent their interests, share their successes and support them in the long run in their successful development. Mrs. Nika Manukova, Regional representative for Europe, countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States, Turkey, Iran defined the membership of IBA as an integration to a team of experts, which will contribute to improving the investors’ interest towards Bulgaria.

Ministry meeting at the Investment Corportaion of Dubai.
